Why We Built This Site
Virginia record access is spread across systems with different purposes. YPSO keeps its incident and arrest reports, while Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail keeps York booking records. Court clerks preserve charges, events, filed papers, and outcomes. VSP CARE operates CCRE and the consent-based SP-167 process. VADOC and the Virginia Sex Offender and Crimes Against Minors Registry cover still other records. We bring the verified contacts, fees, portals, and request steps together without treating those sources as interchangeable.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately operated reference site, with no connection to a Virginia court, sheriff, police department, or state agency. Those limits mean:
- Official checks and record copies cannot be run or issued here
- We cannot submit a request, sealing petition, or expungement filing for a reader
- Certified records must come from the office that maintains them
- We cannot interpret a charge or offer legal advice about a particular case
- Current fees, hours, and addresses must be confirmed with the office before use
Only the issuing sheriff, court, VSP CARE, jail, or other official custodian can authenticate and release its record.
